Media reviews

The strong suit of this book is that it provides a comprehensive introduction over the range of important estuarine processes, particularly those related to organic-matter cycling. On more than one occasion, I found myself asking, "What about...?", only to find a descriptive section and reference to my query on the next page. Limnology and Oceanography Bulleting, Vol 16 (1) March 2007 The range and depth of material presented is testimony to hard work of the author...The target audience for this publication is potentially very large and deservedly so, as in my opinion its timely publication could help to conserve the biodiversity of estuarine ecosystems whilst allowing their continued economic exploitation by man... Stephen Hoskins, Journal of Biological Education, Vol. 41(4)
