About this book

Language: English

Meghalaya is one of the richest and interesting botanical regions of India. Though botanically surveyed by many well-known botanists and researchers, a complete flora of the state has not been realised yet. Therefore, the authors have compiled existing scientific information to produce this checklist, covering more than 4000 species, which, they hope, will serve as a precursor to such a flora. Detailed taxonomic description of species is omitted. Common and local names of many species are included.
