This is the first book on insect fauna of Jiangsu province, China. The Delphacidae (Insecta: Hemiptera) occurring in Jiangsu are summarized, and a total 59 species, belonging to two subfamilies and 46 genera are recorded. Among of them, two genera and four species are described as new to science, another three genera and two species are recorded as new to the Jiangsu delphacid fauna. Morphological descriptions, hosts and distributions are provided, keys to subfamilies, tribes, genera and species, as well as diagnostic photos for each species and adult photos in 13 plates are also presented in this book.
