This field guide is the result of a multi-year mapping project of the herpetofauna of the Lake Neusiedl area, a large lake in Central Europe, straddling the Austria-Hungarian border. The project was funded by the Nationalparkverwaltung Neusiedler See–Seewinkel and the resulting field guide shows the reptiles and amphibians occurring in the area.
