Dongjiang river is a tributary of Zhujiang river, or the Pearl river, in southern China. Its 523 km in length, with a drainage area of 25,325 km2, and flows through Jiangxi and Guangdong provices in South China. This book summarises the general situation of the Donjiang river basin. It deals with ecological and biological characteristics of fishes in the source area and trunk streams of Dongjiang river. Indexes with Chinese and scientific species names are included.
