The EntoCam Beam is the ideal companion to the EntoCam, designed to attract and greatly facilitate the sampling of nocturnal insects. Constructed from military-grade aluminium, the  EntoCam Beam is durable, lightweight and waterproof. The emitting power is adjustable from 3-20 Watts, allowing for optimal power consumption based on available battery and experiment duration. This makes the EntoCam Beam particularly suitable for work in remote areas, as it can be easily transported in backpacks and on planes.

The light emitted by the eight Nichia Power LEDs in the EntoCam Beam directly corresponds to the three sensitivity peaks of most nocturnal insects (UV, blue, and green in the electromagnetic spectrum). Since nocturnal insects respond most strongly to UV radiation, four of the LEDs emit at the UV sensitivity peak at 365 nm (invisible to humans).
