About this book

Language: English with bilingual summary in English and German

The names of fossil plant genera published between 1979 and 2000 were compiled and the taxonomic position, geographical source and geological age of the taxa are given. Thus this work is the continuation of the indices of Andrews (1970), Blazer (1975) and Watt (1982) who collected the names of fossil plant genera published between 1820 and 1978. There are now more than 8300 genera of fossil plants (without sporomorphs and microorganisms).
