The Sierra de Guadarrama, is in a privileged position due to its proximity to the center of the Iberian Peninsula, and brings together trees of many disparate temperaments in its forests which are describes in this field guide. Oak, juniper and ash characterize the foothills, while the Pyrenean predominates on the slopes. There are more typical southern trees such as cork oak, and northern such as sessile oak, beech, holly, aspen, birch, rowan and whitebeam. On limestone soils one can find the gall oak and juniper. Do not miss the repudiation pine and black pine, amongst others. In addition, here one can find the best representations of Iberian Scots pine.

La Sierra de Guadarrama, por su situación privilegiada próxima al centro de la Península Ibérica, se convierte en un lugar de gran atractivo forestal donde se dan cita muchos árboles de temperamento dispar. La encina, el enebro de miera y el fresno caracterizan el piedemonte, mientras que el rebollo predomina en las laderas. Hay árboles más propios del sur, como el alcornoque, en tanto por el norte llegan el roble albar, el haya, el acebo, el álamo temblón, los abedules, los serbales y los mostajos. Por el este calizo llegan el quejigo y la sabina albar. No faltan el pino pudio y el pino negral, entre otros. Además, aquí se halla una de las mejores representaciones ibéricas de pino albar.
