About this book

Presents a comprehensive taxonomic treatment of 104 species and infra-specific taxa, belonging to 45 genera and 27 families of liverworts and hornworts, supported by one map, 111 text-figures and 105 plates of colour and black and white photographs. The fact that the studies leading to this morpho-taxonomic treatise have added 49 taxa, including three species and one variety described as new to science and four species and one subspecies recorded as new to India, to the hitherto known hepatic flora of Himachal Pradesh illustrates how inadequate our knowledge has been.
