The Red Book of the Republic of Belarus is an annotated and illustrated list of rare and endangered species alive in Belarus in the wild, and the wild plants to be protected. In the 4th edition of the Animals volume of the Red Book 202 species of fauna of Belarus in need of protection are included. This publication was prepared with the use of advanced international approaches and criteria similar to that of documents of other countries, in accordance with national environmental priorities, and regional particulars.

Издание подготовлено с использованием усовершенствованных международных подходов и критериев, аналогичных документов других стран, с учетом национальных природоохранных приоритетов, региональной специфики.
