About this book

Language: French

The Gabonese forest includes several hundred species of trees. A handful is well known, many are much less, and some are still anonymous. This guide takes allows you to discover the 37 botanical families and 225 species, of which over 140 are illustrated. It allows you to identify them and know them better using simple diagrams and nearly 1,000 colour photographs of botanical details. For the more experienced, new data on the ecology will consolidate their knowledge. The objective of this work is the sharing and dissemination of knowledge, so that agents of the administrations in charge of forests, as well as logging companies and local people can better understand and manage these valuable species. It can also slip into the pocket of hikers and naturalists, who will be able to more easily recognize and name these precious trees of the Gabonese forest.
