Biography

Sheila A. Strawn holds a B.S. in Biology and a M.Ed. summa cum laude in Adult Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her PhD is in grassland ecology from the University of Oklahoma. She edited the Oklahoma Native Plant Record from 2001 through 2017. Dr Strawn has been a lecturer at the University of Central Oklahoma and has taught biology courses for over 30 years.

Sarah Hearn is an interdisciplinary visual artist and citizen scientist. Her practice is rooted in drawing, photography, installation, and participatory culture. Through close study of biological life and phenomena, she explores how humans can learn from and collaborate with nature. Her work calls attention to that which is often invisible at first glance.
