About this book

Last of the planned volumes is a new, expanded treatment of the author’s specialty, Conophytum, accompanied by its evolutionary siblings. While a complete treatment of Conophytum is probably not warranted, the horticultural aspects, including decades of hybridization work, improved horticultural selections, new field studies, and new species descriptions will feature as highlights of the book. Of the remaining genera, readers will be surprised by the chalk-leaved beauties of the genus Namibia, and the sticky-leaves of Psammophora, which trap blowing sand to serve as a sun shield.
