This 3-volume set will serve as a guide and will be of immense interest to researchers in the field of Indian muscology. In this work, the author has initiated a study of the moss species so far reported from Eastern India, supplemented by his own findings. New descriptions of certain species have been added.
The first volume deals with the groups Sphagnidae, Andreaeidae, Nematodonteae, and Haplolepideae; the second volumw with Funariales, Eubryales, Isobryales, and Hookeriales; while the third volume deals with the Hypnobryales and gives floristic trends, an index, and errata.
