The volume itself is also a tribute to Jose Vicente Barbosa de Bocage's Ornithologie d'Angola, published 100 years previously and this tour de force brings it up to date. The 26 colour plates are absolutely stunning. There is also a detailed map of Angola amd considerable information on the history of ornithological research in Angola.
