About this product

The Wildlife Paving Stone offers an excellent way to discover and observe a world that is normally hidden from view. Made of a special material that stores heat from sunlight, it rests on a see-through acrylic panel and is set into a galvanised metal frame anchored to the ground. The stone can be easily lifted up to view the creatures beneath the screen. Ants, for example, require warmth to raise their young and in particular for the pupae to develop, which is why they prefer to live directly beneath this stone.

Siting and positioning:
On a lawn or meadow, in a sunny or semi-shaded place. For studies and experiments, several Wildlife Paving Stones can be placed on a variety of soil substrates such as sand, gravel, or soil.

Occupants:
Ants, snails, woodlice, ground beetles, spiders, earwigs, earthworms, millipedes, beetle larvae and many others.
