About this product

Nesting space for house martins has declined due to changes in house construction and roof design and providing artificial nesting space with nests such as these Slide Out House Martin Nests can help to support existing or new colonies. These nests have been designed to appeal to house martins, with a white plywood backing and nest cups constructed from Woodstone® - a mix of wood shavings and concrete, offering excellent protection from predators and the elements. The slide-out sections enable inspection or ringing of nestlings by licensed surveyors and the sections are held securely by metal hooks when in the mounting board.

House Martin nests should be installed under the eaves on exterior walls at a minimum height of 2m above the ground. Available as a double nest or single nest. Supplied with screws for easy installation.
