About this book

Language: German

This volume is the immediate continuation of Volume 9 and is dedicated to the rest of the genus Chlamydophila. Also included is a small group of gloeomorphic Chlorophyceae that represent Gloeodendrales, because they connect the Dunaliellales in the 9th volume and the Chlorellales and Protosiphonales in volume 11 as capsale organization stage of Chlorophyceae. Of the Chlamydophila the gloeomorphic Tetrasporales and zystomorphic Chlorococcales are treated. Are all families listed under the terms that they have received from their authors. This has also been done when they can not be clearly placed in the identification key, or if they only appear in the form of groups. These algae have lately become study objects in soil biology, agriculture, forestry science, environmental protection and the general biology. Since many of the cultures are represented in groups from around the world, and their distribution is not well known, groups outside of Europe were also considered here
