Media reviews

"[...] each of the 36 pages contains a wealth of information. Each species is allocated to one of six broad categories based largely on habitat and altitude. [...] On most pages, nine species are illustrated in colour, with most of the photographs the authors own, taken 'on location'. The majority are of good quality, which is impressive given the challenge of photographing butterflies in mountainous country. [...] The author is the first to admit this book is not an identification guide and is designed to complement an illustrated or photographic field guide. The great strength of the book though is it will help you narrow down the number of possible choices when you encounter an unfamiliar butterfly. [...] Relatively inexpensive, I would have no hesitation in taking this booklet with me on a butterfly holiday to Switzerland."
