This book is divided into 5 chapters. After an introduction, the second chapter is gives the results of a survey of ancient and famous trees in Gulangyu, an island off the coast of Xiamen, a city in Fujian Province in southern China; the third chapter describes protection measures for these ancient trees. The last two chapters focus on selected trees and their names.
