This is a catalogue of the art exhibition "Mata Atlântica: Ciência e Arte" that was held from the 22nd of December 2015 to the 13th of March 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This collection brought together nearly 200 works of ícons of the history of science and natural history illustration, such as Jean-Baptiste Debret and Margaret Mee, and also contemporary artists who are dedicated to the craft, such as Malena Barretto and Paul Ormindo, a professor of Fine Arts at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro / UFRRJ, and curator of the exhibition along with the art historian Christina Gabaglia Penna.
