About this product

The Galloway Kite Trail in southwestern Scotland was created to offer local people and visitors opportunities to see and enjoy red kites and other wildlife in the wonderful countryside around Loch Ken an River Dee. It is a community-based initiative created an launched in 2003 by RSPB Scotland in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland, local farmers and tourist businesses.

If you are going to listen to this CD as you drive around the trail, which has several access points, then wherever you join the trail you should first use track 1, which is the introduction, then move on through the tracks as indicated in the introduction. At the end of each track, you'll hear from a kite of two – or more – as a sign that the track has ended and to give you time to see what's next from the track list.
