About this book

The Intricate Beauty of Sphagnum Mosses serves as a guide for identifying Sphagnum mosses in both field and laboratory. The third edition was to cover all the European species and contain around ten species more than the second edition, as well as more descriptions of European mires. In January 2017, the publisher cancelled plans for this third edition and in 2018 instead published a new book, Sphagnum Mosses: The Stars of European Mires. This covers all European species, and contains around 15 more species than the second edition of The Intricate Beauty of Sphagnum Mosses.
