William D. Nordhaus, the winner of the 2018 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel (sometimes referred to as the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, though this is not one of the five Nobel Prizes established by Alfred Nobel's will in 1895), is the Sterling Professor of Economics and Professor in the School of the Environment at Yale University. His many books include The Climate Casino: Risk, Uncertainty, and Economics for a Warming World and A Question of Balance: Weighing the Options on Global Warming Policies. He lives in New Haven, Connecticut.
