About this book

This volume contains 35 papers by 32 authors.

The introduction by Jach & Ji provides valuable background information on the China Water Beetle Survey (1999 - 2001). A total of 149 sampling stations, distributed over four Chinese Provinces are listed and all entered on a topographic map of China.

A key to adults of Chinese water beetle families is provided by Jach & Balke. Top quality habitus paintings (mostly by W. Zelenka) depict representatives of all Chinese families of True Water Beetles, Phytophilous Water Beetles, and some families of Shore Beetles.
