About this book

Language: English

The first in a series of fascicles to represent all species as well as many subspecies of the Afrotropical species of Charaxes, a genus in the butterfly family Nymphalidae. Many undersides that are distinctive are illustrated in association with the uppersides. When the male and female are strongly dimorphic, both are illustrated. Some of the figured specimens are paratypes, included in the original descriptions, and are mentioned as such.
