With reference to tree species, 1 222 species, 3 subspecies, 45 varieties, 4 forms and 2 cultivars have been dealt with, totaliug 1 276 different species. And a small number of exotic tree species successfully introduced from abroad ale included.

In Seeds of Woody Plants in China, gymnospermae have been arranged according to Cheng Wanchun' system (1978), while angiospermae to the revised J. Hutchinson' system (1959), though both have been slightly supplemented.
