About this book

This book is based on the counts of the Seabird Colony Register from 1985 to 1987. Split into two parts, the first describes the general biology and population trends of British seabirds, whilst the second presents the results and analysis for each of the 24 breeding species. Monitoring methods and estimating factors are described in detail, which will assist to future survey work in Britain and elsewhere.

Digital reprint of a book originally published in 1991.
