About this product

The Twenty-second Annual Conference of the European Cetacean Society was held at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands, during 10th to 12th March 2008. The theme of the conference was “Marine Mammals in Time: Past, Present and Future”. The conference was attended by 430 persons from 30 countries. There were 46 talks (including keynote talks) and 283 posters.

The original abstracts of all oral and poster presentations (those accepted following peer review) are included, together with copies of some of the posters, “extended contributions” in the form of short papers based on presentations, and a selection of photos taken at the conference. For the benefit of contributors to future electronic Proceedings, instructions for authors are also included. Some minor editing of extended summaries has taken place.
