About this book

Language: German

This book deals with the evolution of our planet Earth. Starting from a red-hot, hostile initial stage 4.5 billion years ago, the present earth has slowly developed with the familiar distribution of continents and oceans, and with its great wealth of life forms. At the beginning of this development, physical and chemical processes were predominantly of influence. With the first appearance of the biosphere, organisms came as another factor, and shaped many processes at the surface, in the air and even affected plate tectonics.

Evolution der Erde is aimed at students of earth sciences (geology, paleontology, geophysics and mineralogy), geography and biology, as well as interested lay people who want to get an insight into this subject.
