About this book

The Narmada and Tapi estuaries are located in the Indian state of Gujarat. Despite studies in the upstream Narmada basin in Madhya Pradesh, studies on the ecology and fauna of these two downstream estuaries are very scanty, and there is no detailed information on the fishes, molluscs, crustaceans, and aquatic insects. The present work contributes the results of a first survey.

Contents

1. Fauna of Narmada and Tapi Estuaries: An overview
2. Fishes
3. Mollusca
4. Crustacea
5. Aquatic and semi-aquatic insects
