About this book

Language: English

Ferns and lycophytes are shade-loving plants adapted to cool and moist or hot and humid ecosystems of tropical to temperate climates. They are mostly epiphytic or lithophytic and are grown as foliage ornamentals in a fernery or in shade areas of gardens. Many are favoured indoor plants. It was felt that the vastness of the pteridophyte germplasm of the state of Kerala needed horticultural validation. This book is an attempt to put on record the ferns and lycophytes of Kerala.
