About this book

The Flora of Bhutan is designed to be a record of the flowering plants of Bhutan; as far as possible every species represented from Bhutan in British herbaria, and all reported in botanical literature (excepting dubious or ambiguous records) have been incorporated. Cultivated plants widely grown in Bhutan are treated, but few botanists have collected or recorded cultivated species so that only a proportion can be incorporated. The plants of neighbouring Sikkim have been included for the sake of floristic completeness.

Volume 1 Part 1 describes the Gymnospermae and the first part of the Angiospermae, covering Myricaceae, Juglandaceae, Salicaceae, Betulaceae, Fagaceae, Ulmaceae, Moraceae, Urticaceae, Cannabaceae, Proteaceae, Olacaceae, Opiliaceae, Santalaceae, Loranthaceae, Balanophoraceae, and Polygonaceae
