About this book

This book is a celebration of Australia's native flora, celebrating its beauty and diversity – from the more familiar eucalypts and wattles to carnivorous sundrews and secretive orchids. Georgina is a self-taught Australian wildlife photographer, specialising in native birdlife. She produces images for use by conservation organisations across Australia, as well as teaching the art and ethics of bird photography through workshops, talks and articles. In 2018, she became the first Australian woman to win a category in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the worlds foremost nature photography competition.

Other awards include Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year (Portfolio Prize 2016), Bird Photographer of the Year (Best Portfolio 2020 and Creative Prize 2018), Grand Prix Winner of EAAFP Waterbirds Photo Contest 2019 and Australian Photography Awards (Wildlife). For the Love of Flora marks Georginas second collaboration with Australian Geographic, after For the Love of Birds (2021).
