About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Slovene

The book is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Italian physician and naturalist Giovanni Antonio Scopoli, who has been dubbed the Linnaeus of Carniola, a historical region that comprises parts of present-day Slovenia. From 1760 onwards he corresponded regularly with Linnaeus and sent him both plants and descriptions of animals from Carniola.
