Presenting a geological appraisal of the history, dynamics, and hazards of the island's coastline, "Living With the Puerto Rico Shore" is the first in the series to examine a tropical region and the first to examine an area outside the continental United States. The book provides detailed descriptions of the entire shoreline, noting the specific coastal hazards of each coastal reach.
