In this multi-volume series, the author offers species entries for a total of 800 species of European butterflies and their caterpillars, accompanied by magnificent photographs of caterpillars, chrysalis and adults, description, biological cycle, area of distribution and habits. This volume includes nocturnal and diurnal Lepidoptera, considering families and species that complement the six previous volumes. A hundred or so species are described, including some found in Europe, as well as novelties compared to previous volumes, including cases of invasive species, endemic species of the Canary Islands and others settled in them. but which do not appear in the lists of the Western Palearctic species. The description of each species follows a key style, supplemented by many colour photographs.

El autor ofrece en forma de fichas, a la que acompañan magníficas fotografías de orugas, crisálidas y adultos, la descripción, ciclo biológico, área de distribución y costumbres de 800 especies de lepidópteros. En este volumen se incluyen los lepidópteros de actividad nocturna y diurna, considerando las familias y especies que completan los seis tomos anteriores.
