About this book

This book deals with fishing for pike other freshwater predatory fish especially catfish, eels, perch and zander. There are chapters on all five of these species and also sections on others notably chub, trout and salmon. The biology, habitat and distribution of these fish are dealt with along with actually fishing for them. The fishing sections include tackle, techniques along with fishing stories. A concluding chapter looks at the current situation as far as fishing for these species is concerned as well as some of the problems and challenges for the future not least climate changes. Overall, though, the author takes an optimistic view of the future.
