About this book

Most scientists still deny the existence of any form of animal emotions. In this fascinating book the authors argue that the objective evidence for human emotions is all but non-existent; we merely infer from what people say and do what they are feeling. Should not the same criteria be applied to any assessment of possible animal emotions? If we allow animals complex emotional states, then it follows that animals could exhibit emotions that affect us also, but of which we are largely unaware.
