About this book

A list is provided of 4149 plant taxa, which conservation status has been assessed in southern Africa, the region south of (but excluding) Angola, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The current name of each taxon is given, along with an indication of its known distribution in southern Africa, its conservation status in each country and province, whether it is endemic to the region, and its global conservation status. A brief analysis and discussion of the results is presented.
