About this book

This book starts with a brief discussion of dragonfly biology and ecology. Dragonfly habitats are listed with the species they contain. Each of the 43 species found on the island is briefly described and illustrated with a photograph. Other insects that may be confused with dragonflies are also illustrated. There is a gazeteer of the main dragonfly sites together with instructions on getting to them. The book finishes with a discussion of problems of dragonfly conservation.

The book is aimed at the large numbers of bird-watchers and other green tourists who visit the island. Produced by Friends of Green Lesbos. All profits from its sale go towards wildlife and habitat conservation on the island.
