About this book

The Living Planet is the decisive and up-to-date overview of the present state of the planet's wildlife. Bringing together an international team of experts, it gives a group-by-group overview of which animal species are in decline. This book highlights the conservation success stories, where management approaches have so far prevented extinction or extirpation (localised extinction). More importantly, however, it outlines what remains to be done to halt and reverse population declines of the world's wildlife populations.
