About this book

This volume is a facsimile of the 1813 Edition, which is considered to be, perhaps, the most attractive version of this work. All eleven plates, including the coloured plate of the hybrid pheasant, have been reproduced. It includes the additional material added to the the 1802 Edition and also includes the "Antiquities", often omitted from later editions.

The Foreword is by Sir Ghillean Prance, the former Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, with an Introduction by Dr Paul Foster one of the leading authorities on Gilbert White's The Natural History and Antiquities of Selborne.
