About this book

This book gives an overview of the past and current conservation history of Manas National Park in the state of Assam, India. It presents a photographic library of individual tiger photos captured in Manas from 2010 to 2021, as well as camera-trap images of some other mammals. The authors illustrate methods of tiger population estimation in simple terms. The book introduces five deer and seven cat species with illustrations and presents distribution maps and activity patterns for some. The authors are biologists who have over ten years of field experience in Manas.
