About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and German, site descriptions and directions in German only

Watching birds is a very fulfilling hobby for many people and enjoys increasing popularity. Following this trend, this book presents twenty selected areas in Carinthia, the southernmost state of Austria, where birds can be observed. Further chapters contain a state species list with all the wild birds that have been recorded in Carinthia and species categorized on the Austrian list, which have escaped from enclosures or breeding grounds. A survey of the area provides the reader with an overview of the potentially observable bird species and a removable observation list in the back cover can serve as a copying template for field surveys. The book can and should also be seen as an inspiration to get to know the Carinthian bird world in all its facets.
