Language: Chinese with English summary and scientific nomenclature
The book about Strongylata is divided into two volumes. The first volume was published in 2001. This second volume deals with the remaining two families , Stongylidae and Chabertiidae. Most of the species of this group are parasites of domestic and rare wild animals. It is obviously important in studying nematodes of these two families not only in the faunistic sense but also in the control of parasitic diseases. A total of 62 species (including one new species ), 24 genera, 2 subfamilies of Strongylidae, and 25 species, 6 general, 2 subfamilies of Chabertiidae is dealt with in this volume.
This volume consists of two parts:
1. General account; Historical view of researches; Morphological characteristics; Taxonomic classification; Chorology; Development; Ecology; Economic importance.
2. Systematic account
For each species including in this volume, the following topics are treated: scientific nomenclature; description and illustration of male, female or both; the hosts, and the geographical distribution, with emphasis on the distributional localities in China. In addition, 19 species of Strongylidae are observed by SEM; development of some species are also given.
