About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Ukranian

The foundation for Amphibians of the Crimea rests on the results of field and laboratory research, as well as on museum collections from Eastern Europe. The data on the current taxonomic status, distribution, variability, quantity and biology of the Crimean amphibians is presented. Amphibians of the Crimea addresses questions on the origin of amphibian fauna on the peninsula, including status and history of controversial (questionable) and/or extinct species of the Crimea. Each chapter provides the results of the original studies conducted by the authors during their field trips to the Crimea and adjacent territories and is accompanied with authentic photo materials.
