The Apodemus PippyG is a compact, full-spectrum passive bat and bird recorder. Featuring an impressive 384 kHz sample rate, this recorder has been optimised for use with automated identification systems, such as the BTO Acoustic Pipeline. Designed with accessibility in mind, this recorder can be easily deployed and configured using the free mobile app. The recordings feature integrates metadata, including GPS coordinates, device ID, and timestamps, all of which can be set using the mobile app. The recorder can also be user-programmed to operate as a USB microphone to accommodate a variety of survey methods. Delivered fully assembled, programmed, and tested, the PippyG features a bare PCB design and requires a waterproof enclosure (not included) for operation in damp or wet conditions. The recorder is powered by 3 AA batteries (not included) and has a typical runtime of 4-7 days. 

By purchasing the Apodemus PippyG, you directly support the BTO Acoustic Pipeline, contributing to wildlife conservation research. This device is a factory-assembled and tested model, based on the Pipistrelle Mini DIY project from www.pippyg.com. Apodemus holds the exclusive license for producing and further enhancing the Pipistrelle Family of bat acoustic device and their IP. Continuous improvements to its design ensure enhanced performance and user experience, making it a valuable tool for bat enthusiasts and researchers. This may mean that the device you receive looks different from what is depicted in the pictures.

Warranty: 2 years for manufacturing faults. This warranty does not cover moisture damage or external mechanical damage.
