The present work is the first volume of a bibliography of the family Lacertidae (wall lizards or true lizards). It deals with one of the largest genera within the family Lacertidae, namely the genus Podarcis (commonly known as wall lizards). In this bibliography, all known publications on the genus Podarcis that have been published worldwide to date, are systematically listed according to species on 320 pages. In part, these papers are listed with abstracts.

Die vorliegende Arbeit ist der 1. Band einer Bibliografie der Familie Lacertidae (Echte Eidechsen). Sie befasst sich mit einer der größten Gattungen innerhalb der Familie Lacertidae, nämlich mit der Gattung Podarcis (Mauereidechsen). In diesem Literaturverzeichnis werden alle bisher bekannten Publikationen über die Gattung Podarcis, welche bis heute weltweit veröffentlicht wurden, auf 320 Seiten systematisch nach Arten aufgelistet. Teilweise werden diese Arbeiten mit Zusammenfassungen (Abstracts) aufgeführt.
