This publication is an iconography of 202 subspecies of Parnassius apollo. The detailed text will be published soon as a separate part. Missing subspecies will be shown in a supplementary publication. The taxa are listed with the subspecies' name, and synonyms will be listed in the text-volume.
A few new P. apollo subspecies have been described in Möhn, E., 2003: Neue und wenig bekannte Parnassius apollo – Unterarten aus dem Osten des Verbreitungsgebietes - Bauer & Frankenbach, Butterflies of the World, Supplement 5 recently. They are figured for the first time in this volume. All specimens are shown in life-size.
